Comet Lovejoy

Comet Lovejoy is now located near the Orion Nebula. It is shining at a fairly bright fifth magnitude. I took 60 thirty second photos with the C11 at F7 and stacked the best of them.

Taken in HA and processed in pseudo color in Photoshop. This single exposure was taken with the QSI 583wsg camera on the Celestron C11 EdgeHD at f7. An updated photo that shows the impact of stacking a few additional narrowband images.

Messier 74 – Spiral Galaxy

The best of twenty 200 second LRGB images of Messier 74 that were taken through the Celestron EdgeHD 11 telescope with a QSI583wsg camera. The Eagle Nebula – Colorized

Pillars of Creation – Eagle Nebula

Also known as Messier 16, this nebula depicts a large region of star formation that is located within the our Milky Way galaxy at a distance of about 7000 light years. This is a combination of four stacked ten minute images through the 11 inch Celestron that were taken with an h-alpha filter.

Fireworks Galaxy – NGC 6946

Discovered in 1789 by William Herschel the Fireworks Galaxy in the Constellation Cygnus is relatively nearby at about 22.5 million light-years from earth. Supernova in NGC 4386

This is a recently discovered Supernova that I calculate is currently at magnitude 14.5. It is a crop of a 200 second exposure taken with a QSI 583wsg camera and the C11 Edge HD. Below is an inverted view.
